Kylian Mbappe reportedly missed Paris Saint-Germain's team bus after their 1-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie on Wednesday, May 1.

The Frenchman had an unusually subdued outing as Niclas Fullkrug's first-half goal handed the Yellow and Blacks a narrow advantage heading into the second leg.

How did Mbappe perform against Dortmund?

Mbappe might consider himself unlucky after his shot in the second half hit the post, but he'd also acknowledge that he didn't perform at his optimum best.

According to Sofascore, the 25-year-old managed only one shot on target, completed two out of eight dribbles, and lost possession 16 times while creating just one big chance.

Adding to his night to forget, the 2018 World Cup winner also had to deal with being left behind by the PSG team bus.

Why did PSG leave Kylian Mbappe behind?

Mbappe was left behind at Signal Iduna Park after PSG's 1-0 loss to Dortmund on Wednesday night, but it wasn't due to his performance.

Le Parisien explains that the PSG star forward was selected for a random drug test.

As a result, he had to wait at the stadium before reuniting with his teammates at the airport for the flight back to Paris.

What's next for Kylian Mbappe?

Kylian and his PSG teammates will have a break from French Ligue 1 action, giving them time to recuperate for the upcoming second-leg fixture.

The contest for a spot in Wembley's final will be held at the Parc des Princes next Tuesday, May 7.

Mbappe will be under pressure to deliver an outstanding performance, aiming to help PSG overturn the deficit and secure a spot in the Champions League final, which will be the second time in the club's 54-year history.

Musiala proposes unexpected destination for Mbappe

Amidst the swirling rumours linking Mbappe with a move to Real Madrid, Bayern Munich's rising star, Jamal Musiala, shared his thoughts on the French striker's potential future destination, Sports Brief reported.

As speculation intensified with Mbappe's contract at PSG approaching its end this summer, Musiala injected a touch of humour into the discourse.

The youngster playfully proposed an unexpected destination for Mbappe: his own club, Bayern Munich.
